One Hour. One Purpose.
This week, I was surprised and deeply blessed to see how serious both of my churches, Hendersonville and Gallatin, are about prayer meeting.
In both churches, we had an amazing number of people who decided to leave their homes during the week and spend an hour praying, worshiping, and learning more about the Word of God. 🙏
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The prayer meeting is as the pulse to the body; it denotes the true spiritual condition of the church.”
Pastoral Ministry, p. 183
Prayer is one of the greatest tools God has given to Christians. It is how we approach the Father, where we find comfort, where we bring our burdens, and where we experience His presence, the bridge that connects our hearts with Him.
The Bible says:
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
If you are happy, pray.
If you are sad, pray.
If you are walking, pray.
If you are at home, pray.
If you are celebrating, pray.
If you are struggling, pray.
Prayer does not depend on our circumstances. Prayer is about continually seeking God, no matter what season of life we are experiencing.
By the way, if you have never experienced one of our prayer meetings, you are more than welcome to join us during the week. Come and spend some time with us in prayer and in the Word of God.
“Prayer is not about getting answers or help, but about getting God.” (Pavel Goia) 🙏
Happy sabbath.
